Ozone disinfection also supports pool cleaning. Winter-proof insulation for your outdoor hot tub: Our 4-stage insulation system ensures the best possible use of residual heat. The aluminum-layered insulation applied to the exterior and floor of the American hot tub ensures that heat is not lost to the outside air. We also use highly insulating CFC foam underneath the tub. When the pump is running, the waste heat is reused to heat the water. This saves you money because you only heat your pool and not the surrounding area. O³ (Ozone Disinfection): To use water in the circuit of your American hot tub, bacteria, pathogens, and fungi must be killed. UV disinfection is not sufficient without the addition of chlorine. For this reason, we use ozone, a special form of oxygen. Normally, two oxygen atoms combine to form an oxygen molecule. However, the special ozone molecule consists of a loose bond of three oxygen atoms. When this molecule breaks down, the individual atoms search for new reactants. Ozone's influence on biochemical reactions is based on this strong oxidizing effect. Ozone is the strongest available technical oxidizing agent and, at the same time, the most effective disinfectant of all. It is also the most environmentally friendly agent, as it consists of only three oxygen atoms and does not introduce any other chemicals into the process. When ozone comes into contact with water-wetted materials, it transfers an atom to the material in question. This oxidizes or burns off bacteria, body fats, and other contaminants. A positive side effect: no harmful substances are produced. All germs and bacteria are killed by ozone.
